Wave

... to a stranger. Maybe from your car to the person running or riding a bike on the side of the road. Or maybe a nod and smile to the stranger you pass on the sidewalk. You might leave them with a renewed confidence in the kindness of humankind, or just a nagging question, "Do I know that weirdo?"

  1. Imagine me waving- I am ! Hope you are enjoying yourself. Sounds like you are getting around!

  2. One thing I miss from small town southern Utah days is that everyone waves at everyone. Chances are you know the guy, because there aren't that many human-types down there. I accept the challenge.

  3. I've been beaten to the wave or "hello" several times this week--a pleasant surprise considering I went from small town, country, to big city, east coast. My toddler especially gets lots of "Hey darlin'"s and "Hi honey"s.

  4. I usually find myself asking the "who's that weirdo" question. I think I need to get a bit of your half is glass full outlook. :)

  5. One of the many reasons I love having kids is that strangers wave and smile at them. It is like a personal introduction, having a cute baby around.
