Visit

... a park, museum, festival or other "tourist attraction" in your area. One of those places you've been meaning to visit, but you tend to find projects that need doing at home instead. Here's your excuse to leave the laundry for another day and be a tourist at home.

  1. You are certainly following this verb. I hope you are enoying being with Tom and that things are going well. Enjoy all the fun sites. I will be thinking of you as I weed my garden and tidy the house. You get a month off. Enjoy!

  2. Went to the Gardener's Market today and then on a hike up Logan Canyon. Yay!

  3. Yay for Gardener's Markets. Check out the snazzy lady who sells homemade suckers. : )
    I cheated a bit for this verb since we're not at home! (Though, we did do the Aggie Ice Cream Tour in Logan before we left ... making ice cream involves a whole lot of stainless steel machinery.) So far in Virginia, we've visited:
    *Central Park in Petersburg
    *Hugenot Park--kids found a racoon footprint, kept them occupied for several minutes
    *Tuckahoe Plantation--boyhood home of Thomas Jefferson, herb garden and original school house occupied me for several minutes, kids enjoyed the bench swing in front of the school and "Rueben" the old dog
    *Meadow Farm Museum--circa 1860s farmhouse in Glen Allen. Our favorite--finding a mulberry tree and treating ourselves to a snack.
    *Colonial Williamsburg--Tom enjoyed the beautiful trees, Jenn the old Printer's Press, kids the chickens (figures).
    * Pierce's Pit BBQ--yum
    * Old Towne Petersburg and Lee Park.
    Whew! One week down, four more to go!
